| 2nd February,
2006 saw official opening of Mega-Tech 2006 held
at College of Engineering Ground, Pune.
The inauguration was done by Chief Guest
Shri Jayantrao Patil, Honourable Finance
Minister of Government of Maharashtra. Present
at the ceremony were Shri Eknath Thakur,
M.P., Rajyasabha and President, Maharashtra
Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture,
Shri M.N.Chaini, President, Maharashtra
Economic Development Council and President (Corporate
Affairs), Reliance Industries, Shri Subhash
Dandekar, Advisor Mega-Tech 2006 and Past
President - Maharashtra Economic Development
Council, Past President - Maharashtra Chamber
of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and Shri
Rajkumar Chordia, Vice President, Maharashtra
Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
Also present were Shri V.V.Deshpande,
Secretary General, Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce,
Industry and Agriculture and Shri Anil Deshpande,
Chief Executive Officer, Maharashtra Economic
Development Council.
Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour gave a
fitting introduction to the current status of
Maharashtra with respect to industrial development.
The opening ceremony was followed by a round
of the guests around the exhibition halls. The
guests and exhibitors exchanged ideas about
the current situation of industry.
The exhibition lasted 4 days and ended at 7
pm on February 5th, 2006.
