Shri Jayantrao Patil :

"I am very happy that Pune is holding this exhibition. Currently Maharashtra has been attracting over 20 % of foreign direct investment flowing into into the country, which still gives it the number one position. Per capita income in the state is 1.5 times the National figure and has doubled since 1991. About half of India's exports pass through Maharashtra.

With changes in technology the competitive edge that every industry needs to achieve requires intense exchange of knowledge, technology and exchange of thoughts. More than ever today Indians are concentrating in bringing in the latest and best technology from across the world. We have a tremendously broad scope for the growth of the Automation and Control, Food Processing and Packaging Industry and the Engineering sector in the coming years.

This is the precise time for an industry event like MEGA-TECH which will definitely help all such businesses and aid in Indian industry reaching an international level."

Shri Eknath Thakur :

"For Indian industry the future of doom and gloom is over. We are up and kicking, we are happening to the world and with perfect timing an industry summit that focuses on technology is being organized and that too under the able advisor-ship of Shri Subhash Dandekar. I wish MEGA-TECH all the success."

Shri M.N.Chaini :

I can see the key role the Automation and Control is currently playing in our operations.

India and China are being viewed as investment destinations but there is a difference. While India is the software and services centre, China is being perceived a manufacturing base. But we cannot remain complacent and become a "back-office" to the world. If we are to sustain a GDP growth at a level of 8 to 10 %, the manufacturing sector will have to grow at a double digit rate. At such times Automation and Process Control plays a vital role for increased profitability and production and thereby export contribution. I could not have thought of a better time for the holding of MEGA-TECH 2006."

Shri Subhash Dandekar :

"The Industry Summit of a unique nature is being held in the historical city of Pune which has fast emerged as a nerve centre of Engineering, IT and high technology manufacturing. This industry summit is taking place at a time when some of the biggest companies of the world have made investment plans worth millions of dollars in India. This is bound to set in motion a fresh era of high technology growth. MEGA-TECH 2006 is conceived as an exhibition on Engineering and Technology in the Process Industry and Machine Tools segment which has wide application across all segments of industry."

Shri Rajkumar Chordia :

"Considering the changing trends to meet the global challenges and continued adaptation to new technology, it has become necessary to access knowledge to improve quality of products and reduce costs for the manufacturing of any type of goods for the international market. Hence the need for such MEGA-TECH shows has increased as there is a major upswing and need for smarter manufacturing and technological upgrading."
